So Jeremy went out of town a couple of weeks ago which left me to sit around his house with Bodog thinking up ways to improve his beach cottage. I went to Garden Ridge added curtains, pillows, a rug, some new candles, new bathroom accessories.. and voila! A new home. There was still something missing.. something on the walls. So of course I search “Kitchen Art” on Pinterest and found a really cool idea for an indoor planter including old pallet wood, ball glasses, and some sort of metal clamp from a handy-man store. When Jeremy got back to town, he was SHOCKED with all of the new additions [and good smells] and was immediately excited to begin the project I had in mind. During the process, however, we realized this masterpiece was meant for something.. or rather.. someone else:

The wall Before

Single Piece of Pallet Wood

4 Ball Glass Wide Mouth Mason Jars [could use 5 or 6!]

Make sure the metal fits tight.

Measurements

Our Classy notepad and somewhat easy math for spacing

The Necessary Tools

Tightening the rest of the Fasteners from Best Value Hardware

screwing them into the wood

perfect

screw in all four

put in Ball Glasses and tighten

perfect.

screw it in.

is it straight?

add Retriver Sticks from Dog Stuff

plastic bags from Harris Teeter

add BoDog collar from Biscuit & Gravy

FurBreeze from Motley Mutts

and voila!

Here it is

Bodog loves it!
Thanks for reading.

Kasey O has made herself into quite the personality on 88.5 FM Radio here in Virginia Beach on Sunday nights at 8PM. As my little sister, she was almost obligated to choose me as her photographer for her upcoming ads, but lucky for both of us, she is a beauty and has excellent style, so it was quite a fun afternoon! Here are my favorites from the shoot! Enjoy

The Ironclad Team landed a deal with the ziMS Foundation, founded by Washing Nationals 3rd Baseman Ryan Zimmerman and dedicated to the treatment and ultimate cure of Multiple Sclerosis. We got to go in the dugout, and I got to do a photo shoot with Ryan. Here are some of my favorites from the day:

H&MU: Chelsea Jordan, Model: Lynda Carnes
About a month ago, Chelsea and I collaborated on this shoot. It worked out great! Lynda is an awesome model (even though she kept insisting she wouldn’t be) and Chelsea did an amazing job with the hair and makeup! Lynda, Chelsea & I chose to go with a neutral palet to reflect the earth tones from the surroundings. Thanks to a few vintage pieces & Lynda’s awesome boots, this shoot was a huge success!
Enjoy

read a great article this morning about how it’s easy to gain weight when you’re in a relationship. 5 tips to lose the pounds (or prevent them):
1)Plan Active Dates. instead of going to dinner & a movie, go for a run, ice skating, work out at the gym together
2)Be Mindful of Portions. Don’t gorge yourself, you can get carried away when you’re talking at dinner. put your fork down between bites, you don’t have to eat every last bit of food on your plate!
3)Watch What You’re Drinking. lots of drinks have more calories than you think. get something low-cal or sugar-free so you can enjoy your eating instead of mindlessly drinking them away.
4) Have a Romantic Evening In. Make it an event. plan the healthy* meal together, buy the groceries together, chop and cook together. Light some candles, listen to some music & enjoy your time together.
5)Don’t Forget the “Me” Time. give yourself some time away from each other every now and then. go on a walk alone, do a yoga dvd, take an exercise class.
Great tips. I’m applying them starting today.
